Replacing your CV-ketel is wise with repeated breakdowns, high repair costs or an age of about 12–15 years. Older CV-ketels use more gas and are more prone to failure — especially in winter. The CW class (comfort warm water) runs from CW3 to CW6 and indicates how much hot tap water a combi CV-ketel can deliver. Too low a CW class means cold water with simultaneous use; too high is unnecessarily expensive. For a standard replacement — same type of CV-ketel, existing connections — installation is usually completed in one working day. You may be without heating and hot water for a short time that day.
